Statutory requirements
- Current rules under the Livestock & Veterinary Law (revised) #40: import (Art.45) and export (Art.48) are filed 15 days ahead on the prescribed form to the livestock & veterinary authority, and the certificate issues within 5 working days after the technical check passes; transit (Art.49) is filed 15 days ahead with the border notified at least 1 day before arrival. Veterinary checkpoints are at borders, airports, ports, rail stations and post offices (Art.43); risky imports are tracked at a designated site after entry (Art.46). Product categories and fees follow the border quarantine office posting.
