Article 1: Purpose. This Decision stipulates the relevant mechanisms, time limits, procedures, and obligations and responsibilities of project companies to be followed by relevant ministries and local authorities in the process of reviewing and approving development projects (including their disaster mitigation/disaster management components), with a view to mitigating natural disaster risks in the formulation and implementation of development projects, and avoiding losses and damages to life, property, socio-economy, and the environment in the areas where dam projects are located due to emergencies such as technical accidents and natural disasters.
