Article 1
Purpose. This Decree stipulates principles, regulations, and measures for the management, monitoring, and inspection of veterinary drug work, in order to ensure that the operation and use of veterinary drugs comply with technical standards, are effective, and yield results, aiming to safeguard the life and health safety of humans, animals, and the environment, and to contribute to the protection and development of the nation.
Article 2
Veterinary Drugs. Veterinary drugs refer to medicines used for the prevention of diseases, treatment, and health care of livestock and aquatic animals, such as vaccines, antibiotics, antiparasitic drugs, and vitamin preparations, which are officially registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry; they also include medicated feed processed into drugs, chemicals or biological products in semi-finished form used as veterinary drugs, and medicinal raw materials for veterinary use.
