Articles

Article 1

Purpose. This Agreement aims to approve and confirm industrial and trade business activities that require a business license to be conducted, in accordance with the provisions of Article 3 of this Agreement.

Article 2

Industrial and Trade Business Activities Requiring a Business License. Business activities in the industrial and trade sector that require a business license to be conducted refer to activities that necessitate technical professional management or require specific conditions for their operation, including: processing industry and handicrafts, domestic trade, import and export, and other business activities.

Article 3

List of Industrial and Trade Business Activities Requiring Business Licenses. The list of business activities in the industrial and trade sectors that require a business license to operate is compiled based on the Lao People's Democratic Republic's Index Code of Economic Classification (ISIC) and is divided into three lists, namely: 1) List of Processing Industry and Handicraft Business Activities; 2) List of Domestic Trade Business Activities; 3) List of Import and Export Business Activities, and is specified item by item according to codes for ministries, categories, groups, subgroups, etc., and the approval authority at the central/provincial/district levels.
