Articles
Article 1
All types of imported goods and commodities brought into the territory for use and resale through Bokeo Province by individuals, legal persons, or business operators may only be imported through officially designated border checkpoints, must obtain permission from relevant law enforcement personnel, and pay customs duties and other obligatory fees in accordance with the law (except for those eligible for exemption or reduction of customs duties and other fees as prescribed by law). If individuals, legal persons, or business operators import goods and commodities without complying with the above regulations or engage in illegal smuggling for import, and are discovered upon inspection by law enforcement personnel, they shall be strictly pursued in accordance with relevant laws.
Article 2
Vessels navigating along the Mekong River must obtain permission from relevant law enforcement personnel and navigate at officially designated locations; it is strictly prohibited to transport illegally imported goods by vessel; vessel entry and exit must comply with the time limits prescribed by port law enforcement personnel, namely: navigation is only permitted from 7:00 to 18:00; if violated and discovered upon inspection, legal liability will be pursued strictly in accordance with the law. — All types of vessels entering or leaving the port intending to go to the opposite bank of Thailand or Myanmar must obtain permission from port immigration and customs law enforcement personnel before departing (except for vessels used along the Lao side of the Mekong River); any person or operator who fails to comply with the relevant regulations, if discovered upon inspection, will be pursued strictly in accordance with the law.
Article 3
Each individual, upon each entry or exit, must hold complete border crossing permits (temporary border crossing certificate, border crossing booklet) issued by port entry-exit enforcement personnel, and report for inspection to entry-exit inspection police enforcement personnel and relevant enforcement personnel at the port. If an individual enters or exits without authorization and fails to use officially designated ports, upon inspection and discovery, a fine of 100 to 500 US dollars per person per violation shall be imposed; if the violation is repeated, liability shall be pursued in accordance with relevant laws.
