Agreement on Policies and Unit Price Compensation for Payment of Loss Compensation to People Affected by the Xieng Khouang to Nathong 500 kV High-Voltage Transmission Line Project (Phaxay District, Xieng Khouang Province)

Article 1

Conditions and rights of compensated families. 1. All families affected within the construction area of the Xieng Khouang to Nasaitong 500 kV high-voltage transmission line project are entitled to the compensation policies of the project; affected people within the transmission line corridor shall receive loss compensation policies in principle. The number of families eligible for the policies shall be based on the actual number of families registered and surveyed. 2. All types of property damaged due to the construction of the Xieng Khouang to Nasaitong 500 kV transmission line project shall receive compensation not less than the original condition or better than the original condition. Loss compensation shall, as far as possible, be paid in cash, or in-kind compensation with quality not lower than the original property; the unit price for loss compensation shall be determined based on the unit price approved by the Chairman of the Environment, Compensation, and Livelihood Restoration Committee, in order to restore the livelihoods of people affected by provincial hydropower projects.
