Articles
Article 1
Purpose. This Decision stipulates the principles, rules, management, and facilitation measures concerning the provision of credit information to users, enabling information users to access credit information systematically, conveniently, and quickly.
Article 2
Inquiry of Credit Information. Inquiry of credit information refers to the service of providing credit information products by the Credit Information Center through retrieval or direct provision of data.
Article 3
Interpretation of Terms. The meanings of the terms used in this Decision are as follows:
1. Credit information refers to credit information and other information related to borrowing;
2. Member refers to commercial banks and financial institutions under the management of the Bank of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and being members of the credit information center;
3. Financial institutions under the management of the Bank of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic refer to deposit-taking microfinance institutions, non-deposit-taking microfinance institutions, credit unions and savings institutions, and credit leasing companies licensed by the Bank of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to conduct business;
4. Data subject refers to a borrower whose information is stored in the credit information reporting system;
5. Non-data subject refers to natural persons, legal entities, and organizations that need to use the borrower’s credit information.
