Articles
Article 1
The Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Khammouane Province is tasked to coordinate with district authorities, the Provincial Department of Industry and Commerce, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Customs Region 3, the Provincial Police Command, and the Provincial Department of Health to establish leading groups and committees to monitor, inspect, and prioritize management inspections of the import of fertilizers, plant seeds, and pesticides, especially herbicides, from abroad through traditional and international border checkpoints into the locality, strictly in accordance with technical standards and regulations.
Article 2
Domestic and foreign public development projects, commercial sectors, and operators are prohibited from importing fertilizers, plant seeds, pesticides, and herbicides that have not been properly registered in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Article 3
It is strictly prohibited for stores selling fertilizers, plant seeds, and pesticides to mix commodities such as fertilizers, plant seeds, and pesticides with consumer goods and other daily necessities.
