Article 1 (Amended). Purpose
This Law stipulates principles, regulations, and measures concerning the organization, management, monitoring, and inspection of statistical work, aiming to develop this work systematically, modernly, solidly, and efficiently, ensuring that statistical data are complete, accurate, timely, and consistent with objective reality, serving as a basis for determining the direction, tasks, and overall indicators of national socio-economic development plans, enabling integration with the region and internationally, and contributing to building a prosperous, strong, fair, and civilized nation.
Article 2
Article 2 (Amended). Statistics
Statistics refer to data and figures that reflect the true situation of events occurring in society, the state of the operating environment, and the living conditions during a given period, derived from statistical surveys and administrative reports, and formed through processes of interview, collection, compilation, processing, research, and analysis, in accordance with statistical scientific methods.
