Articles
Article 1
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is tasked with directing the District Agriculture and Forestry Offices, traditional border checkpoints, international border checkpoints, and district crop cultivation business units to strictly manage and inspect, prohibiting the importation into the region from foreign countries of insecticides, fungicides, pesticides, herbicides, pathogens, and pest eradication chemicals listed in the banned pesticide list of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Article 2
Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Offices shall issue licenses for the import and sale of fertilizers, plant seeds, and pesticides based on the list officially registered with the Department of Cultivation and in compliance with the laws and regulations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
2.1 Imported fertilizers and pesticides must bear labels in Lao or English.
2.2 Separate shops dedicated to the sale of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides must be established, and they shall not be mixed with other household or consumer goods.
Article 3
Entrust the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry, in coordination with relevant agencies and authorities at all levels, to proactively manage the use of various chemicals in localities, bringing them into compliance, ensuring no harm to human and animal life, no impact on the environment, and maintaining the cleanliness of agricultural products.
