Order on Suspending Transport of Various Timber via Red Earth Roads During Rainy Season and Setting Forest Closure Dates to Halt Timber and Non-Timber Forest Product Harvesting

Public Works and Transport Sector. 1. During the rainy season, the transport of all types of timber via red soil roads is prohibited, with the period commencing from June 1st to November 31st each year. 2. The Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport and the Public Works Offices of the five municipalities are tasked with conducting regular follow-up inspections and coordinating with relevant departments, particularly with traffic police authorities and forestry authorities. 3. The Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry is tasked with notifying the provincial forestry sector to cease hauling on red soil roads during the rainy season, i.e., from June 1st to November 31st each year. Agriculture and Forestry Sector. 1. From May 31st to October 1st each year, the felling of timber and the collection of forest and mountain forest by-products in all forest areas shall be completely halted. 2. The Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry must make a comprehensive summary and evaluation of the results of previous implementation, including achievements, shortcomings, and solutions. 3. The Municipal Agriculture and Forestry Office must, in coordination with the municipal administration and relevant departments, follow up and inspect timber felling operators, and shall not permit them to exploit loopholes for illegal logging during the specified period. 4. The mayors of the five municipalities are tasked with organizing propaganda and dissemination, guiding all relevant departments to be informed and jointly strictly implement this order.
