Articles

Article 1

Purpose. This Agreement stipulates the principles, regulations, and measures concerning the issuance of electronic certificates of origin, aiming to facilitate operators exporting goods using certificates of origin for preferential treatment, and to ensure correct and coordinated implementation in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and international law.

Article 2

Issuance of Electronic Certificates of Origin. An Electronic Certificate of Origin, abbreviated as "e-C/O" in English, refers to the process of electronically submitting documents for the application to issue a Certificate of Origin for preferential treatment.

Article 3

Scope of Application. This Agreement applies to individuals and legal entities applying for the issuance of electronic certificates of origin within the territory of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
