Articles

Article 1

It is prohibited to convert the land of the irrigation area of the Nongdin 2 Hydropower Plant drainage canal No. 3 intake in Yongmala District, Khammouane Province—covering a total area of 2,700 hectares—into other types of land, and it is absolutely not allowed to include this irrigation area land in the general urban planning or other non-agricultural production activities; this article is implemented in accordance with Article 52, Paragraph 13 of the Irrigation Law No. 26/ສພຊ (promulgated on December 14, 2012).

Article 2

Assign the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, local administrative organs, and relevant departments, to survey and demarcate land in irrigation areas, establish boundary markers, and complete the work as soon as possible, with a focus on the following key issues:

In coordination with relevant ministries, local government agencies, and relevant departments, conduct surveys, demarcation of boundaries, and registration of agricultural land within irrigation areas; the preparation of maps and the demarcation of land boundaries in irrigation areas shall be combined with the planning and arrangement of agricultural land to make it suitable for cultivation and breeding, so as to maximize the utilization efficiency of such land and serve production.
