Articles
Article 1
It is announced that the Nam Kan Natural Conservation Forest, the Mengmei Natural Conservation Forest, and the Nam Yao Protection Forest in Bokeo Province are established as national natural conservation forests, hereinafter referred to as "Nam Kan National Natural Conservation Forest."
Article 2
Delimitation of the Boundaries of Nam Kan National Protected Forest. The boundary delimitation is based on a map at a scale of 1:100,000, using meridians and parallels as references, and compared with actual terrain features, using rivers, streams, waterways, roads, as well as lowest and highest points as markers, in order to conduct detailed surveys of the area, making it easy for local governments and people of all ethnic groups to understand, comprehend, and cooperate well in participation and implementation. The boundaries and area of the region specified in Article 1 of this Decree shall be as per the map and documents attached to this Decree, which form an integral part of this Decree.
Article 3
Area of Nam Kan National Protected Forest. The total area is 136,000 hectares. Bokeo Province and Luang Namtha Province (boundaries as follows): The northeast side borders the Nam Fa River and the boundary of Long District, Luang Namtha Province; the east side borders the Nam Ngo River and the boundary of Luang Namtha Province; the south side borders the Nam Tha River and Pha Oudom District, Bokeo Province; the west side borders the Nam Ka River and Nam Kan, Luang Namtha Province; located within the following ranges: Longitude from 100°34′50″ East to 101°58′04″ East, Latitude from 20°18′00″ North to 20°50′40″ North.
