Article 1
Purpose. This Decree stipulates the principles, systems, and measures for managing and inspecting mined ores, produced mineral products, and the export of mineral products to various countries, aiming to enhance the added value of mineral products before export abroad and to establish a material and technical foundation for the mining industry in line with the direction of industrialization and modernization.
Article 2
Definitions. Run-of-mine ore refers to ore extracted from the surface or underground that has not yet undergone processing procedures; mineral products refer to run-of-mine ore that has undergone semi-finished or finished processing; semi-finished mineral products refer to minerals that have undergone primary or intermediate processing; finished mineral products refer to the final products of the mining industry.
Article 3
Scope of Application of this Decree. This Decree shall be binding upon individuals or legal entities engaged in mineral business activities within the territory of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
