It aims to limit all forms of violence against women and children, enhance the status, role, and human dignity of women and children, achieve gender equality, contribute to building a peaceful, united, harmonious, just, and civilized society, and to defend and develop the nation.

Violence against women and children refers to acts that cause or are likely to cause harm or damage to women and children in terms of physical, mental, sexual, property, or economic aspects.

Opposition to and suppression of violence against women and children refers to the prevention of violence, protection, assistance to victims, and handling, including measures taken against perpetrators of violence.
