Article 1
Purpose. The purpose of establishing these regulations is to determine the principles, procedures, and measures for the import, management, and use of logging machinery, ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Article 2
Definition of Terms. Logging machinery refers to various types of machinery used for cutting down trees, felling trees, and reducing timber, including chainsaws, chain saws (chain-type saws) - powered by gasoline and electricity, as well as parts and accessories of logging machinery, which are classified under tariff headings 8467.81.00, 8467.80.00, and 8487.91.10 of the Customs Tariff of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Article 3
Rights and Conditions for Importing Logging Machinery. Individuals, legal entities, and organizations located within or outside the Lao People's Democratic Republic have the right to import logging machinery, provided they comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
