Article 1
Purpose. This Agreement aims to establish standards for brick and tile production factories, particularly in terms of factory site, factory buildings, machinery and equipment, production systems, professional technology, safety, hygiene, and factory environment; with the objective of regulating and managing brick and tile production factories to comply with the Processing Industry Law and relevant laws and regulations, ensuring orderly and standardized business operations of the factories, while simultaneously promoting the products of the factories to meet standards and achieve good quality.
Article 2
Definition of a brick and tile production plant. A brick and tile production plant refers to a type of production plant as specified in Article 9, Item 10 of the Processing Industry Law, namely a plant that primarily uses clay as raw material, through processing procedures, with the aid of mechanical equipment and labor within the plant, transforms the raw material state into finished products, and these products can be sold as commodities. The aforementioned production plants are classified under International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC) codes 2392 and 2393.
Article 3
Scope of Application. This Agreement applies to the regulation, management, and promotion of the business operations of brick and tile production factories of all levels and types referred to in Article 10 of the Law on Processing Industry throughout the country.
