Articles

Article 1

Purpose. This Agreement stipulates the organization and operation of the Service Trade Information Enquiry Point (hereinafter referred to as the "Enquiry Point") to promote and implement Decree No. 363/Government dated August 19, 2010, on Notification and Provision of Trade-Related Information (hereinafter referred to as "Decree No. 363").

Article 2

Services Trade Information. Services trade information refers to information concerning measures affecting trade in services, as well as information on agreements on trade in services to which the Lao People's Democratic Republic is a party. Among these, measures affecting trade in services include laws, decrees, regulations, procedures, and service management activities related to the purchase, payment, access to, use of, and provision of services.

Article 3

Location and Responsibilities. The Inquiry Point shall be established within the Department of Foreign Trade Policy of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and its responsibilities shall be to perform the relevant functions on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 3 of Decree No. 363.
