Articles
Article 1
Purpose. The issuance of this Decree is to implement the Law on Processing Industry, providing regulations on the establishment, adjustment, management, inspection, environmental protection, development, and support of processing industry factories, so as to ensure that the activities of processing industry factories are effective, meet objectives, and are implemented uniformly nationwide.
Article 2
Processing Industry Factory Activities. The processing industry as defined in Article 2 of the Law on Processing Industry encompasses the activities of operating processing industry factories, which are the activities stipulated in Article 8 of the Law on Processing Industry. For household-scale processing industry activities smaller than Level 11 factories (i.e., those with fewer than 10 workers, combined mechanical power or equivalent power of machinery less than 5 horsepower, or having a minor environmental impact), matters not provided for in the Law on Processing Industry shall be assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for research and the formulation of specific regulations and policies.
