Articles
Article 1
Purpose. This Decree stipulates principles, regulations, and measures concerning the prohibition of all acts constituting the promotion of tobacco product consumption, in order to reduce smoking among people of all ethnic groups, aiming to protect and improve national health for the better, and to inform them that smoking is harmful to health and has impacts on the economy and society. To curb any means of promoting to the public, inducing them to use tobacco products of individuals or legal entities.
Article 2
Prohibition on Promotion of Tobacco Product Consumption. The prohibition on promoting tobacco product consumption refers to the prohibition of any acts carried out by any method or form that manifest as inducing addiction, persuading belief, and encouraging attempts to use tobacco, including the use of words, static images, moving images, printed materials, performances, and the use of well-known individuals as promotional spokespersons.
Article 3
Government Policy. The Government values and prioritizes the prevention and maintenance of the health of all ethnic groups by providing knowledge and information, mobilizing and encouraging the expansion of public and private health, epidemic prevention, and health promotion efforts, and delivering comprehensive and high-quality public health services.
