Article 1 Purpose

Article 2 Impact assessment of draft legislation
Impact assessment of draft legislation is the analysis, research and evaluation of the legal and financial impacts that may arise from the creation and amendment of any legislation, through the use of a draft legislation impact assessment report.

Article 3 Interpretation of Terms
The terms used in this agreement have the following meanings:
1. Draft legislation impact assessment report means a report on the results of research into the legal and financial impacts that may arise from the creation and amendment of legislation;
Legal impact means the impact of the draft legislation that may occur on the economy, competitiveness, environment, society, employment, health and safety of all relevant sectors, including the government, businesses and communities;
Financial impact means the impact on the state budget from the implementation of legislation, including budget revenues and expenditures.
