Articles

Article 1

Article 1 Purpose
This Law prescribes principles, regulations, and measures concerning the management, activities, appointment, promotion, demotion, transfer and rotation of posts, policy implementation, supervision, inspection, and evaluation of procuratorial personnel, in order to ensure that procuratorial personnel are loyal and reliable, possess revolutionary moral qualities, are honest and incorruptible, and have professional ethics and conduct, aiming to guarantee the lawful prosecution of defendants, and to supervise and inspect the implementation of laws by investigative agencies, people's courts, and court judgment enforcement agencies in accordance with judicial procedures during litigation activities, making them prompt, transparent, correct, complete, and objective, thereby contributing to the construction of a peaceful, orderly, and just society.

Article 2

Article 2 Prosecutors
Prosecutors are persons appointed to perform duties, supervise and inspect, investigate, and participate in court trials in accordance with the law and as assigned.
Prosecutors are divided into People’s Prosecutors and Military Prosecutors.

Article 3

Article 3 Interpretation of Terms
The terms used in this Law shall have the following meanings:
1. Committee refers to the Examination Committee, the Assessment Committee, the Performance Appraisal Committee, and the Supervision and Inspection Committee;
2. Assessment refers to the evaluation of the performance of duties by procuratorial personnel holding Type 2 management positions, for the purpose of considering their appointment as Level 1 procuratorial personnel;
3. Performance Appraisal refers to the evaluation of the annual work activities of procuratorial personnel, for the purpose of implementing relevant policies in accordance with the law.
