Article 1
Article 1 (Amended) Purpose
This Law stipulates principles, regulations, and measures regarding the management, monitoring, and inspection of signboard work, to ensure that such work is organized and implemented correctly, uniformly, systematically, modernly, efficiently, and effectively, aiming to ensure safety, social order, national stability, alignment with regional and international standards, and participation in the protection and construction of the nation.

Article 2 (Amended). Signboard
A signboard is a tangible product, created in various forms using text, numbers, images, drawings, printing, writing, molding, casting, carving, engraving, lighting, and electronic methods, used to indicate, educate, and publicize to society, enabling public awareness and understanding.
Article 3
Article 3 (Amended) Interpretation of Terms
The terms used in this Law shall have the following meanings:
1. Signage product refers to an item that has undergone processes such as design, production, decoration, and installation, including printed, written, molded, cast, or carved signs, to meet the needs or requirements of the user of the sign;
2. Form of a sign refers to the shape, configuration, and style of a sign, which may take various forms such as triangular, square, circular, diamond-shaped, or multi-dimensional simulation models;
3. Signage service refers to the provision of use, lending for use, or granting of benefits related to signage products, with compensation in cash or other forms;
4. Trademark refers to one or a combination of marks used for goods or services, to distinguish the goods or services of a particular individual, legal entity, or organization from those of other individuals, legal entities, or organizations;
5. Sign owner refers to an individual, legal entity, or organization that possesses and uses various types of signs;
6. Religious site refers to a place where various religious ceremonies are conducted;
7. Nit refers to the unit of measurement for the brightness of electronic signs.
