Article 1

Article 1 (Amended). Purpose
This Law prescribes principles, rules, and measures for the management, monitoring, and inspection of tourism work, aiming to ensure quality and efficiency in such work, to protect, restore, and maintain tourism resources, tourism resource areas, and tourist attractions, to guarantee the promotion and development of natural, cultural, and historical tourism in a sustainable and expanding manner, to transform it into a modern tourism industry, to enhance mutual understanding, peace, and friendship, to align with regional and international integration, and to contribute to national socio-economic development in a green and sustainable direction.

Article 2

Article 2 (Amended) Tourism
Tourism refers to activities associated with travel from a place of residence to another locality or another country, for purposes such as visiting, sightseeing, recreation, entertainment, cultural exchange, sports, health promotion, study and research, exhibitions, conferences, and other activities.
