Article 2 Inspection and Certification of Quality of Precious Objects Products
Inspection and certification of quality of precious objects products is the conduct of inspection of precious objects, whether in the form of artifacts or ingots, to check the purity, weight, metallic and non-metallic components, in order to certify the quality of the precious objects.

Article 2 Interpretation of Terms
The terms used in this agreement have the following meanings:
1. Precious material products mean valuable materials or items such as silver, gold, copper, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, white gold, and other items made of metal and non-metal;
2. Precious material business means the business of production, import-export, and distribution of precious materials as stipulated in laws and regulations;
3. Mark of precious material products means any symbol or combination of symbols used on precious material products to indicate the ownership of the operator;
4. Quality certificate of precious material products means a document certifying the quality of precious material products that conforms to national standards;
5. Purity means the proportion of metal or non-metal by mass in a mixture;

Article 4 Scope of Application
This agreement applies to individuals, legal entities or organizations engaged in the production, import-export and distribution of valuable products in the Lao PDR.
