Article 2 Electronic Gold Trading Service Business
Electronic gold trading service business is the gold trading service of a gold trading service operator that uses electronic channels, such as websites or applications, with payment in kip through the commercial banking system in the Lao PDR.

Article 2 Definition of Terms
The terms used in this agreement have the following meanings:
1. Electronic gold trading means the transaction of buying and selling gold in individual lots using websites or applications through electronic channels;
2. Gold means gold bars and gold ornaments with a gold purity of 99.99%, excluding gold bars used internationally as a means of payment between countries according to the regulations of the Bank of the Lao PDR, and excluding gold ore;
3. Electronic gold trading service operator means a legal entity that has its own website and application for buying and selling gold, including commercial banks and gold banks, to conduct gold trading transactions and has been authorized to operate electronic gold trading services as stipulated in this agreement;
4. Precious goods retail shop means a gold retail shop that has registered as an enterprise and obtained a license to operate a precious goods retail business in accordance with the Law on Enterprises and relevant regulations;
5. Gold buyer means a general individual or service user who purchases gold through electronic channels;
6. Member account means the information account of a gold buyer who has registered to conduct gold trading transactions through electronic channels.

Article 4 Scope of Application
This agreement applies to individuals, legal entities, and organizations that operate and are involved in gold trading services through electronic means in the Lao PDR.
