Article 2 Intellectual Property Registration Agent
An intellectual property registration agent is an agent who provides services to the owner of intellectual property in filing applications, proposals, and carrying out other procedures related to the registration of intellectual property.

Article 2 Interpretation of Terms
The terms used in this agreement have the following meanings:
1. Legal entity conducting legal business means a legal consulting company that has obtained a legal business operating license issued by the Ministry of Justice;
2. Certificate of representation for intellectual property registration services means a document used to certify the operation as a company representing intellectual property registration services, issued by the Department of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Article 4 Scope of Application
This agreement applies to individuals, legal entities and organizations, both domestic and foreign, involved in the work of intellectual property registration agents in the Lao PDR.
