Article 2 Green Label
Green Label is the certification of processed industrial products that are environmentally friendly or have the least negative impact on the environment compared to other products with the same use value.

Article 2 Definition of Terms
The terms used in this agreement have the following meanings:
1. Green label product means a product that meets the conditions for green label certification, including goods produced domestically and imported from abroad;
2. International standard means a standard adopted by an international standardization organization and accessible to the public;
3. International standard certification certificate means a standard certification document issued by an international standard certification body or other certification body recognized at regional and international levels;
4. Environmentally friendly product means a product that has a low impact on the environment throughout its life cycle;
5. Product life cycle assessment means an assessment of each stage of a product's life, from the production process to distribution and service;
6. Green label certificate means a green label certification document obtained according to the standards and conditions of the green label specific to that product.

Article 4 Scope of Application
This agreement applies to individuals, legal entities, and organizations, both domestic and foreign, that operate and are involved with green label products in the Lao PDR on a voluntary basis.
This agreement does not apply to food, beverage, and pharmaceutical products.
