To: Directors of Departments, Provincial Directly-Affiliated Agencies, Two Commands, District Governors, Provincial and District-Level Relevant Departments down to Village-Level Authorities, and All Ethnic Groups within Bokeo Province. — Pursuant to the Law on Local Administration No. 68/ສພຊ, dated December 14, 2015. — Pursuant to the Law on Aquatic Animals and Wildlife No. 07/ສພຊ, dated December 24, 2007. — Pursuant to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), to which the Lao People's Democratic Republic is a Party. — Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Order No. 05/ຍ, dated May 8, 2018, on Strengthening the Management and Inspection of Endangered Aquatic Animals, Wildlife, and Wild Plants. To effectively implement and enforce the aforementioned Order No. 05/ຍ of the Prime Minister, aiming to ensure that the management and inspection of endangered aquatic animals, wildlife, and wild plants are strictly carried out in accordance with promulgated laws and regulations, and to gradually combat, prohibit, and resolve various negative phenomena in this work, the Governor of Bokeo Province issues the following instruction:
Article 2
Assign relevant departments at the provincial and district levels to strengthen management and focus on correctly performing their duties, scope of authority, and responsibilities, in accordance with laws and regulations, particularly laws and legal documents concerning the management and inspection of endangered wildlife and wild plants.
Article 3
Cease all hunting of wildlife listed in the prohibited hunting list (List I); cease the import, transit, export, and trade of living and non-living wild animals and plants listed in the prohibited category (List I), including their body parts, organs, and various products, in accordance with the Law on Aquatic Animals and Wildlife of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the CITES Convention to which Laos is a party; for wildlife listed in the management list (List II), strict management shall also be carried out in accordance with the law and the CITES Convention.
