Article 1
Purpose. This Decision aims to stipulate principles, regulations, measures, and methods for the price management of medicines and medical supplies, ensuring that the prices of medicines and medical supplies distributed and circulated within the Lao People’s Democratic Republic remain reasonable in accordance with the socio-economic development conditions of each stage, with a view to maintaining price stability while protecting the legitimate rights and interests of operators, consumers, and the State.
Article 2
Price Management of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies. Price management refers to the inspection and supervision by the health authorities and relevant departments, in accordance with the principles and provisions set forth in this Decision, of the prices of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies set by manufacturers, importers, and distributors in public and private healthcare facilities.
