Article 1
Purpose. Article 2
Licensing of intellectual property registration service business. Licensing of intellectual property registration service business refers to permitting legal entities lawfully engaged in legal business and having a domicile in the Lao People's Democratic Republic to conduct business, act as representatives of intellectual property rights holders, and carry out various procedures with the Department of Intellectual Property or the Provincial and Capital Industry and Commerce Offices.
Article 3
Interpretation of Terms. The terms used in this Decision shall have the following meanings: 1. Agency company refers to a legal entity lawfully engaged in legal business and handling matters related to intellectual property work in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic; 2. Intellectual property registration services refer to services providing the handling of applications, declarations, and other matters related to intellectual property registration, including representing intellectual property rights holders in resolving administrative intellectual property disputes; 3. Intellectual property service business license refers to a document issued by the Department of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to certify engagement in the business of providing intellectual property registration services.
